Specialist consultancy to defence & aerospace industries
As a specialist consultancy providing products and services for the electronic systems and software sector of the defence and aerospace industry, our client had developed an ongoing need for ILS professionals. They hit real problems trying to source three different skills sets using mainstream recruitment techniques and companies. This prompted them to look further afield and was the start of their relationship with Gold Group, which was fast becoming the number one ILS recruitment supplier.
On the basis of our extensive network of contacts, we were able to find excellent candidates to fill each of the roles in question in an efficient manner, namely a Through Life Support Engineer, a Logistics Support Analyst and a Reliability Engineer. Quick and effective executive search
Earth Tech is a global provider of engineering, consulting, construction and operations services for the water and wastewater, facilities and environmental markets. As a result of the continued expansion of the business, Earth Tech had an immediate requirement to recruit additional Planning Engineers to work on various projects across the UK. Earth Tech required permanent staff and approached Gold Group as a result of their specific expertise in sourcing planning staff.
It quickly became apparent that Earth Tech's requirements were highly specific in terms of the specific skill sets and market experience they were looking for. Because such candidates were unlikely to be on the open market, Gold Group identified Earth Tech's competitors and used head hunting techniques to directly approach and qualify candidates who were tempted by a potential career move. In addition to utilising head hunting techniques, Gold Group also exhausted various search criteria using their extensive database of registered Planning Engineers. The result was highly successful:

Senior Estimators for major construction group
A regular client, one of the world’s leading integrated concessions and construction groups with a turnover of £18 billion, came to us with an urgent need to source Senior Estimators for a number of their offices nationwide. Good quality estimators are essential for delivering cost effective large scale projects, yet are few and far between and do not generally appear on the open employment market.
As a result, we put in place an executive search campaign designed to enable our client to “cherry pick” from the whole market. Gold Group’s executive search approach involves partnering with a client and working closely with them as part of their organisation, to deliver our expertise and experience. In this particular case we conducted a highly focused search, targeting specific skills and experience, as well as personalities that were the right fit. The project was extremely successful and we managed to find excellent candidates to fill 5 out of the 8 open vacancies within a very tight time frame.
