Assistant Building Surveyor
Location: Surbiton, South West London
Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 + package
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a busy and growing multi-discipline building consultancy based in Surbiton, South West London. This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Building Surveyor to work on a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors alongside a friendly and professional team.
As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will be supporting senior team members in delivering a range of projects across London, Sussex and Surrey of varying complexities and size. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Attending building surveys and preparing reports on building condition, defect repairs and maintenance plans
- Preparation of party wall notices and awards
- Prepare accurate costed maintenance plans
- Undertake project management and contract administration duties on refurbishment and repair projects
- Assist the Senior Surveyors where required
- Undertake property inspections, report of any defects and make suggestions for remedial works
The ideal candidate will be eager, keen to learn and enthusiastic about the construction industry. You'll also require:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Experience within a UK based consultancy undertaking a similar role or a recent graduate keen to secure your first position
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Working towards, or hold an interest in pursuing RICS accreditation
