A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Change Commercial Manager to join a leading main contractor in Birmingham. The Change Commercial Manager will be joining a busy and growing team and play a key role in managing my clients contractual entitlements through the contract mechanism.
Some of the Change Commercial Manager's main duties will include:
- Engage in negotiations regarding adjustments to time and financial entitlements outlined in the contract
- Proactively identify and raise change notices when needed, converting them into compensation events where applicable.
- Prepare quotations encompassing adjustments to Key Dates and Completion Date entitlements, as well as analyzing changes in prices and time, assessing risks, and submitting entitlements for compensation events. Also, propose compensation events and estimate potential changes as directed.
- Possess a strong understanding to collaborate with planners, utilizing recognised delay analysis techniques to determine entitlements for adjustments to planned Key Dates and Completion Date, along with associated Defined Costs.
- Assist in overseeing a small team and liaising with relevant teams across the project to improve my clients commercial position by timely notification of compensation events, submission of quotations, and conducting time analyses.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, providing advice and preparing comprehensive documentation for compensation events/claims, showcasing entitlement under the contract.
- Provide support to the Commercial Lead as needed on other change-related matters.
- Aid in negotiating and resolving compensation events and disputes, including the preparation of escalation papers when required.
