Role: Estimating Manager
Location: Brighton, Sussex
Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Manager to join to a leading main contractor delivering a clean and waste water framework across the South East. The Estimating Manager will take the lead role within the team and lead a multidisciplinary team of Estimators producing estimates of across the framework. The role promises exposure to a wide range of projects of varying complexities with budgets ranging from £1m to £100m in value.
The Estimating Managers main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the estimating team throughout each phase of the tendering and pricing process
- Provide support for all estimating related matters to all parties involved throughout the pre-construction phase
- Provide input and lead on estimating strategies
- Identify and manage risk and opportunities throughout the tender stage
- Work closely with the clients Cost Assurance and Audit teams to show value for money
- Ensure all estimates are compliant and meet the projects goals, client specs. and design requirements whilst also falling within the acceptable risk limits
The Estimating Manager will need to have previously worked in a similar capacity for a main contractor working in the utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering sectors. Experience working on large projects will be an advantage alongside sound knowledge of the NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, strong communication skills and familiarity with modern estimating IT packages.
