Job Role: Evening Shift Production Supervisor

Hourly Rate: £17.60-£19.25

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 13:45-22:00

Location: Battle, East Sussex

Evening Shift Supervisor Specification:

• UK Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Fork Truck Licence: Required; training can be provided.
• Engineering Drawings Proficiency: A clear understanding of engineering drawings.
• Steel Work Experience: Previous experience and knowledge of steel work.
• IT Skills: Proficient in IT.
• Communication Skills: Good standard of written and spoken English.
• Industry Experience: Experience in laser cutting, press brake, or welding fabrication is essential.

Evening Shift Supervisor Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Production Team Leader: Establish clear work priorities in coordination with the Production Team Leader.
• Time Sheet Management: Collect and process time sheets from the production team members.
• Resource Provision: Ensure all production team members have the necessary tools and materials to complete their tasks.
• Quality Control: Review and sign off on work based on issued drawings.
• Performance Accountability: Hold team members accountable for meeting daily output targets.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain health and safety standards within the factory.
• Staff Training: Train staff on quality standards as needed.
• Workplace Maintenance: Ensure the factory floor is organized and free of clutter and rubbish.
• Data Reporting: Record and report key departmental data.
• Production Support: Assist in boosting production in key factory areas such as laser cutting, press brake, or welding and fabrication.

Evening Shift Supervisor Additional Responsibilities:

• ISO9001/BSEN1090 QMS Compliance: Adhere to processes and procedures related to goods in and out as per ISO9001/BSEN1090 Quality Management Systems.
• Task Management: Perform additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
• Supplier and Customer Visits: Accompany team members on supplier and customer visits to ensure quality and process standards are maintained.
• Deviation Reporting: Report any deviations from agreed standards.
