Heating Engineer - Renewable Heat
Installing, servicing and maintaining renewable heating systems
Introduction:
My client is a
renewable energy company that specialises in solar PV and low-carbon heat pump installations. Due to our recent growth, we're looking for an experienced heating engineer to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join this increasingly important sector and work as part of a supportive and growing team as we expand our service & maintenance offer and increase ASHP installations.
This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in renewable energy and low carbon technologies and gain further experience installing, servicing and maintaining renewable heating systems.
Role and responsibilities
- Servicing ASHP and GSHP systems
- Fault finding and diagnostics for ASHP and GSHP systems
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance on ASHP and GSHP systems
- Installing and commissioning heat pump systems (predominantly ASHP)
- Carrying out customer hand overs
- Applicant must have good communication and social skills and be happy to work in and lead an installation team
- Applicant should be aware that the workplace is not fixed and a driving license is essential (company vehicle provided)
Key requirements (qualifications and skills)
This job role is open to a fully qualified engineer. Some of the below qualifications are not essential but highly advantageous:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Experience of installing heat pump systems
- Experience of servicing and carrying our maintenance and repairs on heat pump installations
Qualifications
- Driving licence (Essential)
- Health & Safety or First Aid qualifications (advantageous)
- BPEC heat pump or equivalent
- Gas Safe - desirable
- Water regs - G3 unvented or equivalent
