The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
- Providing frontline support for managing non-conformance within Manufacturing, including handling non-conformities and containment efforts.
- Gathering and analysing non-conformance data using the business tool Google NLP to identify adverse trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. This includes implementing and verifying permanent corrective actions.
- Collecting and communicating business KPIs at all levels.
- Analysing data related to CQN (Rework/Scrap), returns, and yields.
- Facilitating Practical Problem-Solving activities to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions using appropriate Quality Tools.
- Supporting the transition of new products into manufacturing by analysing historical data and applying lessons learnt.
- Conducting non-conformance meetings at all levels, from the shop floor to Manufacturing Heads, providing product information and escalating issues.
- Handling customer concerns and escapes, and coordinating with inter-company facilities across Europe, including France, Italy, and Germany, as well as external customers.
- Managing internal issues between business units within Manufacturing.
- Collaborating with the Programmes Quality representative and the broader Quality teams, sharing data and progressing non-conformities and improvements.
What are we looking for in our next Quality Engineer?
- Ideally holding a minimum of an HNC/HND in a relevant field or possessing equivalent work experience.
- Exhibit outstanding analytical abilities, capable of utilising data to detect trends and foster improvements.
- Comfortable and confident in reporting to all levels within the organisation.
- Possess strong Practical Problem-Solving skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate initiatives that result in improvements.
- Demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills to prioritise and monitor multiple tasks to achieve set objectives.
- Highly self-driven, showcasing determination and persistence to achieve results despite obstacles and setbacks.
