Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Richmond, SW London
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 + hybrid working + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor with a proven track record of delivering key projects to the UK's water industry. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy team delivering capital projects across South West, West and North West London for a major water provider. The opportunity promises exposure to interesting projects, great career prospects, a generous starting salary and an excellent work life balance.
Reporting the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be taking responsibility for the Commercial Management of projects including the construction and refurbishment of capital projects across the region. This will include Waste Water Treatment Works, Pumping Stations, Water Storage facilities and more. Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control project costs
- Working with the clients team to ensure the requirements of all parties are met
- Manage the contract to ensure all contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as required
- Prepare and issue all subcontract documentation
- Provide support to the wider commercial team on the management and performance of subcontractors
- Oversee the process for applications for payment
- Prepare accurate project cost and value reports, forecasts and budgets
- Assist and mentor junior members of the commercial team
- Support the Commercial Management team where required
Requirements
- Previous experience working in the UK on infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with the NEC3 of IChemE forms of contract
- Live within a commutable distance of South West, West or North West London
