The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Sonar Technical Lead?
- Ensure the technical integrity of Sonobuoy products from development through to in-service support.
- Provide technical direction and leadership across Sonobuoy project teams, including leading design reviews.
- Work closely with the Sonobuoys Chief Engineer, Project Manager, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Represent the company in customer meetings, providing expert technical input and ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Oversee the development of Sonobuoy systems across Technology Readiness Levels, ensuring all technical aspects are thoroughly vetted and integrated.
What are we looking for in our next Sonar Technical Lead?
- Strong understanding of Sonar Systems design, including deployment, communications, and safety considerations.
- Experience in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Systems, Electronics, Mechanical, or Software, with a good understanding of the others.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience in defence or aerospace sectors.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
