Commercial Manager needed for a multinational defence organisation based in Stevenage who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Commercial Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of contract negotiation, the bidding process and providing legal advice.
The successful candidate would desirably have a background in defence or aerospace and experience in Commercial Management with confidence n working with contracts and negotiating with customers.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Commercial Manager will include:
- Business Strategy - maximising identified business opportunities.
- Business Winning - responsible for the full Route to Contract, including being the driving force during the Bidding process, ensuring cross functional working to deliver costs in time, generation of proposals, and contract negotiations, whilst maintaining the viability of the company.
- Contract Delivery - being a vital part of the delivery chain that ensures we meet our promises to customers.
- Negotiations - gaining acceptance and agreement on issues and amendments to ensure contractual compliance
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, focusing on collaboration.
- Being the point of contact for your project(s) for any contractual information and agreements including obtaining and providing legal advice.
What experience you need to be the successful Commercial Manager:
- You might have a legal background, have experience working in an in house contracts team, but you will be used to working with contracts and negotiating with customers.
- Active SC clearance would be a plus.
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable building working relationships.
