Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, UK
Salary: £68,000 to £78,000 per annum + Package
This is an exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a high-profile infrastructure project in the West Midlands. This is a unique opportunity to manage the commercial aspects of a complex, large-scale project, ensuring successful delivery while shaping your career within one of the most respected names in the construction industry.
The Role:
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial team, overseeing the financial and contractual management of a major infrastructure project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing cost control, procurement, and subcontractor relationships.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts and tenders.
- Ensuring compliance with all commercial processes and procedures.
- Providing accurate financial reporting and forecasts.
- Supporting the project team in achieving key milestones and objectives.
- Leading and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager where required with other duties

We're looking for a commercially astute professional with:
- Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on large infrastructure, civil engineering or utilities projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including NEC forms.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
