Product Safety Engineer

Product Safety Engineer
£55-£60 per hour.
6 Month duration.
Stevenage 2-3 days per week on site.

The main duties:
* Taking charge of identifying and managing Product Safety requirements derived from hazard and risk assessments
* Collaborating in line with Project Safety Management Plans
* Shaping the development of safe design through logical safety arguments, including comprehensive Safety Case justification reports
* Facilitating hazard identification meetings and maintaining an up-to-date project hazard log
* Conducting peer reviews and performing verification and assurance tasks to validate the robustness of the Safety Case and its supporting documentation
Your skills and experiences:

Skills / Background:
* In-depth understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reports
* Solid grasp of safety principles within systems engineering and their integration into effective engineering processes
* Proven experience in creating detailed justification reports
* Strong knowledge of Safety Engineering principles and practices

Desirable
* Familiarity with systems engineering tools and techniques
* Experience in a defence or complex systems environment
* Knowledge of JIRA
