Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central & West London
Rate: £500-650 per day INSIDE IR35
Details: 6+ months with hybrid working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a complex, high profile civil engineering project in West London. The Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the site based team, managing their own packages of work and providing commercial support to the project delivery team.
Some of the Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
- Assist with the preparation of progress valuations and claims for completed work
- Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and budget reports
- Maintain accurate and effective cost control
- Ensure all contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and managed accordingly
- Review the value management proposals
- Manage subcontracts from placement of orders to final accounts
- Prepare/agree interim applications for payment
- Prepare/agree final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers
Quantity Surveyors considering these opportunities will need to have:
- A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong contract experience (NEC)
- Experience in rail or infrastructure projects
