Senior Quantity Surveyor

£55,000 to £75,000 + car & package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a major project near to Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining an experienced site based team constructing a £70m residential village that includes the construction of 250+ apartments, communal facilities, car parks & landscaping.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the project team to ensure the successful commercial performance of a large, complex project
- Ensure compliance with the companies commercial processes
- Carry out effective main and subcontract administration
- Work closely with the Operations teams to identify and mitigate any commercial risks
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Support junior surveyors with their professional development and act as a mentor and coach where possible
- Develop a high performing team
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:
- A degree or similar in Quantity Surveying or another construction related field
- Previous experience working for a main contractor on large new build construction projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Live within a reasonable commute of the site in Rickmansworth
