Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Gatwick Airport, Sussex
Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading cost and project management consultancy working at Gatwick Airport in Sussex. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of a small yet busy team carrying out a variety of pre and post contract duties on infrastructure and civil engineering projects valued between £5m and £20m.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a lead role on cost estimation, budgets and the procurement process to ensure projects are delivered within financial expectations
- Manage contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with the agreed terms
- Work closely with the site project teams to monitor progress and implement cost effective solutions where required
- Build long lasting, trusting relationships with clients, stakeholders and suppliers
Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Quantity Surveying with a focus on infrastructure projects
- An in depth understanding of the NEC Contract
- Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
- Working towards chartered status with the RICS or ICES
- Candidates with experience of CEMAR will be at an advantage
