Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Acton, West London
Rate: £550-650 per day (Umbrella PAYE - INSIDE IR35)
An exciting 6 month contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a high profile heavy civil engineering project in West London. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining my clients busy site based team and managing a number of packages relating to the construction of concrete structures, tunnels and shafts.
Responsibilities
- Contract administration (NEC)
- Monitor project costs, produce accurate forecasts and report on the financial performance of the project to the management team
- Lead the procurement process, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare valuations, assess variations and submit payment applications
- Identify, assess and manage project risks
- Work closely with clients, project teams and external stakeholders
Requirements
Senior Quantity Surveyors being considered for this position will need to have previously worked for a main contractor and have an in depth understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. You'll need excellent communication skills and live within a reasonable commute of the site in Acton, West London.
This is a 6 month contract position with a day rate of £550 to £650 per day. The role is Inside IR35 and you will be paid PAYE through an umbrella company.
