Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Cumbria - 2 days on site every fortnight
Pay Rate: From £39,500k to £61,500k depending on level & experience
Clearance: SC Eligibility Required

We are currently looking for highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineers to join our team and help shape the future of aerospace and defence.
Positions are available from Junior to Principal level, with responsibilities and overall package depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer:
- Functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment
- Authoring and reviewing technical documentation
- Managing associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies
- Providing advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines
- Engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems
- Taking a leading role by guiding more junior members of the team through the systems definition process
- Opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various company, customer and supplier sites
Skills, Qualifications and Experience needed:
- Degree qualified Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience
- Engineering Chartership required (for principal engineer)
- Significant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
