A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a large utilities framework with projects between Wiltshire and Berkshire. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Commercial Management team and taking responsibility for the planning, commercial control and effective administration of the Framework across the region.
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, some of your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking the day to day commercial administration of projects from start to finish
- Ensuring the sound delivery of projects across the framework from bid through to completion
- Taking responsibility for managing resource levels
- Supporting the site teams and wider commercial team with all commercial and contractual related queries
- Act as a mentor to others within the commercial team
The successful Managing Quantity Surveyor will be offered a role that includes no limits on career progression. Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working within the utilities sector (either water, gas or power) and be familiar with either the IChemE or NEC suite of contracts. You'll need to be commercially astute, self motivated and driven and confident when working in teams of varying abilities. You'll also need to be willing to commute along the M4 Corridor between sites and offices as required.
