We are currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our clients growing commercial team in Rickmansworth on a high profile, high value infrastructure project. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the project team, driving profit and minimising risk on the construction of various structures including tunnels and bridges. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, well regarded main contractor on an interesting and complex project.
Some of the Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include:
- Provide efficient management of all the commercial functions of the packages of work you are responsible for from procurement through to final accounts
- Review and evaluate contractor's claims for additional payment
- Provide advice on procurement strategy, contract conditions, and commercial risks
- Prepare and issue tender documentation and conduct tender evaluations
- Prepare and submit monthly cost reports to the project team and clients
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory requirements
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience in the following areas:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the UK's construction sector
- Experience working on infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
